Our club was founded on May 16th, 1997. With the purpose of bringing local bond and enhance our mining skills. Plus to promote the prospectors heritage for future generations. We also encourage camaraderie with other natural resource users, such as loggers, farmers, cattlemen, hunters, we support wise use and reasonable protection of the enviroment. Our goals are to raise the level of public awareness and knowledge about mining and mineral resources. Whether it be with panning booths, classroom presentations, mining tours, or just one on one discussions, we are working to expound on the importance of mining in one's everyday life and society as a whole. Our parent Organization is the Gold Prospectors Association of America (GPAA) Temecula. California. We affiliated with the Oregon Independent Miners November 1997. |
